Emotional Intelligence: The Foundations of Exceptional Leadership
Starts 6 May 2025
Spots remaining: 20
Full course description
This course provides participants with the personal emotional intelligence foundations that underpin effective leadership – self-awareness, personal resilience and empathy. It challenges some common myths and explores why emotional intelligence matters to leadership, organisational performance, career success and its increasing importance in the future of work.
While many of our leadership challenges are often related to influencing others, dealing with conflict, coaching and developing others, understanding and tapping into what motivates others, this emotional intelligence programme focuses on the underlying foundations (roots) of these behaviours – specifically self-awareness, resilience (emotional self-control) and demonstrating empathy.
Fundamentally, emotional intelligence will help you understand yourself so that you can get the best out of others.
This course has been designed to complement Leadership that Motivates High Performance which focuses on setting clear expectations, coaching and having difficult conversations.
